Any questions please shout.
This project car was built to be a keeper, to enable me to use it for Road trips, European trips and Trackdays, and to be utterly reliable! Inspired by one of my friends who used to have one, I’d decided this was the perfect compromise between my Atom and a Lotus.
Due to a recent 211 purchase however, (I cant believe this) but I'm selling it.
This car started life as a cherished Elise S1 with a K-series and became the perfect donor car for the Honda Conversion, after toying what car to use for a substantial period of time.
The mighty K series in this car had managed 120k miles, and had been fastidiously maintained so when the conversion project was discussed we decided that a major refresh was due with almost everything in the rear part of the car either replaced, repaired or serviced., and I have tried to list as many details of this as I can.
The engine was carefully sourced a few years ago when deciding to go ahead with the project, and it was of paramount importance to me that we got a good one, and I was happy to pay a premium for this.
The conversion parts were bought from Stark, acknowledged as the best kit provider, and discussed heavily with them.
Craig Moncreiff Cars, my local Lotus specialist (X-Lotus dealer with several Senior Lotus Techs on staff) built this car to exacting standards, and as you’ll notice, Craig’s attention to details resulted in a complete interior re-trim to ensure the interior was as nice as the new engine!
The work carried out;
Wishbones (powercoated/blasted and finished in red)
Bushes - all replaced
New bearings, new tie rods
Discs & Pads - all replaced with Pagid Rs14's
Brake Fluid
Alarm Keyfob Battery - replaced
Roof – refurbished
RBC Inlet Manifold (£1000+)
70mm Larger throttle body
New heat sheilding
Silicon Air Performance hoses
Hondata KPro ECU
Honda K20A engine with 26k miles
Braided hoses & replaced brake fluid
Pagid RS14 Brake Pads
Avon ZZRs tyre just fitted
Nitron Street Series Adjustable Suspension (brand new – just fitted)
As you would expect from this car, it is in great condition, and is significantly fast. The conversion was finished in September last year, and it getting better and better.
The car is MOT’d till November, and has substantial service history from its previous K series life and is HPI clear.
The cost of building this car has been beyond £30k.
