GSX-R 1000 K5, tuned

Post by Sanjøy » Tue Dec 12, 2006 4:59 pm

For a biker I know....

I'm putting the K5 up for sale. I'm selling it as I'm looking for a change next year. This bike is bonkers and will suit almost anyone who has a couple of years riding under their belt. It's a great road bike with mega amounts of torque to cruise around on all day, and a dream to ride at the track with a great chassis and stupid amounts of power. Fast, very fast. I've had this bike since new and loved every ride on it.

Suzuki GSX-R 1000 K5

. 9k miles (reads 10k because of changed gearing)
. FSH, best items used, no expense spared
. Warranty remaining (to confirm)
. 170 rwbhp
. Taxed
. Security devices fitted
. New tyres
. All paperwork included and proper

-- asking price, £6600

The bike is heavily modified to improve the already mega performance. I'll be returning it to near-stock condition though for sale and will put the extras up seperately. I'm willing to leave parts on the bike if a buyer pays for them on top of the bike sale. In near-standard form it would come with the following modifications: engine armour, braided hoses, uprated pads, c&s, and Suzuki accessories.

Modifications made:

. Stage-1 performance tune by Crescent Suzuki (of BSB fame)
. Power Command III USB (inc custom map)
. BMC race air-filter
. Racefit 'Mega' GP exhaust
. Ohlins 46PRXLS Shock from K-Tech
. Ohlins adjustable steering damper
. Brembo 19x18 racing master cylinder
. Carbone Loraine racing brake pads (rear set new in box)
. Goodridge racing brake lines
. Renthal + DID 520 chain conversion
. PPTuning racing rearsets
. CRG adjustable folding clutch lever
. Woodcraft armoured alternator engine cover
. Woodcraft armoured RHS engine cover
. Full (forks, engine & swingarm) R&G/DGowland crash protectors
. Braking wavey rear disc.
. Moto2 racing fuel cap
. Carbon Fiber rear hugger
. Carbon Fiber full-length frame guards
. Other accessories like Stomp Grip Pads, Renthal grips, tail-tidy, smaller plate, Suzuki carbon add-ons and tinted DB screen. Some spare controls as well.
. Plus all removed oem parts

This bike has always been looked after, with the best quality service items used, i.e. premium fully-synth oil changed every 2500 miles. The engine has always been warmed up properly before use and has no signs of corrosion, starts first time every time and has no known faults.

Sanjoy, How many other toys have you got in the garage mate? With the bike going does this signal a replacement for the Elise as well? Bikes appeal it's the falling off that doesn't. Got plenty of scars from mountain biking without having 170 bhp
