Post by timmsky » Thu Feb 09, 2006 10:23 pm

Okay, time to test the water :(

It's for sale to the first person with £28K.

May 2005 (05) Magnetic Blue Exige S2 Touring
Stage 2 exhaust
All usual touring bits and bobs
Never tracked (sadly)
4 good A048's
2 owners (me and Lotus dealer (MMC Edinburgh)
Private plate available by separate negotiation

Company car forces unbelievable reluctant sale after owning Elises and Exiges for over 6 years....

Drop me a PM if interested and I can send you pics.

Its a bugger, but almost inevitible, sadly :(

Deal is not 100% on the comany car, but Gordon f%@£ing Brown being what he is, the tax on a new 530 beemer is too much to bear with an Exige on the drive too, so something has to give..

One of 2 things can happen now, either folks offer me stupid money for the Exige and I keep it, or the whole company things falls through and I keep the Exige, but at present this doesn't look likely..

And it was just beginning to come into campaganza season too :(

Not consider getting an older S1 again?

Thought of it, but they still fetch decent money and I have had little enough time to enjoy the Exige (hence only 4K miles!) and I fear it owuld be throwing good money away (in some ways)....

And I was planning a mega trip for us all later this year too....

Still, you never know, miracles can always happen, and maybe someone will want my withered liver or a kidney or two instead ;) What will they fetch on eBay these days? ;)

Iain is that you?!!!

I nearly bought your burgandy S1 from you back in Perth when it was getting fixed that must have been 2000/2001

How is life up in the back and beyond? You got a new job, or just having to travel a lot more?

Anyway, hope your well mate, and as much as i would like to buy your Exige from you, I have just had to sell my VX to purchase an Audi A4 diesel!!

Cheers,

Dave

Aye Dave, 'tis me :)

Not a new job (been in this one for 16 years :)) this is just A LOT more travelling, promoting, training overseas etc.

I have been at home for about a week so far this year, and no chance at present to slow down the travels... away for the 2nd year in a row on Valentines day.. oops

Hope all's well with you? Still remember the texting we did to that lassie in Oulton Park a few years back

Hmmm, I heard the rumours!
Shame but if it's gotta be done...
I'm holding off until summer time to make any decisions if I sell..

Cannae believe you've done less miles than me Iain but confirms you are not doing enough miles to justify keeping it. Good luck with the luxobarge... ;)

Ali

No but elaborate for me as I have a memory like the size of a postage stamp, all i remember about Oulton that December was Gill chucking me his keys and letting me take his car on track, and Paul telling me to drive home as no more than 80mph, so that we didnt get stopped, that was purgatory!

I do however remember lots of drunk chat and farting, giggling like children, who was the girl, as it is slowly coming back to me now!!

Feck arse and bollocks!

Dude, such a shame that you're having to sell :( Like I said though, if you gotta, you gotta. TBH, I'd be better doing the same, but I'd get so little for my car, I'd probably top myself

Still, you'll get the itch (no not that one) sooner or later. Keep in touch and keep up the good filth ;)
