S1 for Sale

Post by gordon » Tue Mar 21, 2006 12:16 pm

2nd time lucky, but it looks like it will def have to go to make room for a new adventure. (Lawrence..... Shhhhhhhhhh  )

All going to plan, I'm probably going to be letting it go in the next month or so.

Spec is here...
:
New Aluminium Silver S1
55,000 miles
2000 model
Black leather interior
Cobra Cat one Alarm (Top Spec Lotus Alarm upgrade)
Driving lamps with protective covers
Blue soft top
High spec Sony CD player with remote control
4 new Advan Neova tyres
New EBC green Stuff pads all round and 5.1 fluid recently changed
Push button start
Decat pipe (but original cat included in sale)
Stainless Steel Janspeed rear silencer.
All exhaust has been heat wraped to keep luggage bay temps down
Full lotus history to 40k (see below for my service specs) had belts replaced 10k ago.
Taxed (a few months left)
Full Years MOT (will put a year on it b 4 sale)
Uprated poly gearselecton bushes

Suspention; The car has a modified version of Steve Butts S2 kit. It runs 110/120 ride height, but has modified spring settings and modified rear shock mounts. Plus i have spent alot of time setting the geometry to get the car handling perfectly. I dont know of any other car in the country running this suspention and geometry set up.

But the best left till last. The car has been serviced religiously and runs the best Silkoline oil, changed every 2000 miles. It also gets a fuel flush once a month. The car was on the dyno and for a standard car it should be 118bhp. The car today put out 136bhp and 158nm torque. Mechanically it is certainly one of the best Elises out there. Apart from some stone chips on the front clam it is in exellent condition

The car is mechanically perfect and is the quickest/best set up std car i know of. It will need nothing spent on it mechanically as everything has been checked or replaced.

I'm planning on selling the hardtop seperately, but need £11,000 for the car or £11500 inc the hardtop.

Gordon,

I think that car would sell much more easily if you took that sillly SteveB suspension off it and replaced with some nice red Koni dampers.

Come to think of it, my car has some nice red konis on it, I could do you a good deal in return for yours....

And it can go anytime after the the start of April. Long story but thats when i move house so need the car up till then. If anyone wants a testdrive or a look at it just let me know.

P.s. Sorry Greg but the car's being sold as it is. It's the set up and work i've done on the suspention that makes it as good as it is  Nice try though
