1999, ‘T’ registered. British Racing Green with black hood and black leather interior. 37k miles with a Full Service History. It has had a ‘B’ Service within the last two weeks. MOT till April 09 and Tax till end of September 08. Fitted with standard Cobra Thatcham 1 alarm and immobiliser.
I have recently bought an S1 Exige and the Elise is not getting enough use to warrant keeping them both. Therefore looking for a sale before my insurance needs renewed in the next couple of weeks. If I end up paying for new insurance, I will be keeping the car.
Mechanicals
Excellent condition. No expense spared ensuring everything is as it should be. In the last six months, it has had a new steering rack, new tyres (Yokohama Advan Neovas), new brakes (Eliseparts Turbo Grooved discs and Mintex 1144 pads) all round, three new ball joints and a full geometry. The car has done less than 1500miles since. The car is fitted with Nitron adjustable coilovers at present although the standard Koni coilovers (with 23,000miles of use) are available instead if required.
Servicing and mechanicals were maintained by Ali at SLS in Edinburgh (http://www.scottishlotusspecialists.co.uk) whom I’m sure would be happy to vouch for the car if asked.
Bodywork
Generally fine although the front has the usual stone chipping common to all Elises. I will arrange the front end to be resprayed locally if this is required. The rear grill set was replaced with Eliseparts powder coated stainless steel ones late last year due to the mild steel originals rusting.
The wheels are standard Elise split five spokes but have been painted black

The only bad point I can think of at present is that the flexi pipe has developed a small blow and will require changed out at some point. Again, I can arrange for this to be done if required.
This car has been completely reliable during the 14000miles I have had it (including a 3000mile trip to Le Mans and round the South of France in 30deg heat). It has been occasionally tracked but has been regularly serviced and maintained to a very high standard. The car has also been a daily driver for most of my ownership so doesn’t suffer from the tired rubbers/seals/lubes etc that many ‘Sunday’ cars do.
