Ideally looking for something focus / mundano sized and a hatchback / estate for carting my mountain bike about would be ideal. As i've already got a Buell, VX and a fiat i probably don't need another characterful car as its more important that it works every morning.
Anything that costs more to insure or fill up than it does to buy is probably out too ! 
Budget is a smidge over £1k and the money is sitting here burning a hole in my pocket just now !
