Stunning & Unique Music Fidelity X-Series bi-amp set-up for sale.

X-A1 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
Pair of X-50 Monoblock Amps
X-Ray 24bit CD player
Beautifully well built using a mixture of extruded aluminium and machined aluminium faceplates a truly unique HiFi set-up.
X-A1 has 50 watts per channel capability used in combination with a pair of X-50 monoblock Amps - the X-A1 entrusted with driving the tweeters & midrange and an X-50 entrusted with driving each speaker’s lower frequencies range using bi-amplifying set-up.
X-Ray benefits from high-grade components such as a Burr Brown 24 bit DAC and a specially developed five-pole linear phase filter to help reduce high frequency spuriae and to reduce distortion levels. Low jitter is attained through use of the clock re-timing circuit in combination with the DAC. All basic skip and scan functions are operational via the remote
Note: This set-up ideally requires a pair of speakers with bi-wire capability (separate wiring for high /low frequency parts to the speaker) see more info here

About Musical Fidelity….
Musical Fidelity is a manufacturer of Hi-Fi systems and high-end audio equipment. The company was established in United Kingdom by Antony Michaelson, in 1982. Musical Fidelity became popular due to the unique industrial designs applied to its products. These products have a high value even in the second-hand market. The company offers several products ranging from power amplifiers, pre-amplifiers, turntables and compact-disc players to digital-analogue converter, acoustic isolation platform and phono stages.
The first successful launch for Musical Fidelity was the revolutionary A1 series in 1985. These amplifiers offered 20W per channel and delivered class A performance. Next was the launch of the F-series in the late 1990s. Developed to give dramatic and groundbreaking visuals, this model created a sensation with the sinuous heat-sinks and sculptural front panel. The X-series was introduced in 1995, when the company entered the world of hi-fi. The series had tabular designs that were unique enough to arouse strong emotions. Three years later, Musical Fidelity released the limited edition Nu-Vista series of preamp. One of the latest series introduced by the company includes the New A-Series. Integrated amplifiers, CD players and pre-power amplifiers are sold under this series.
The company tries to maintain its philosophy of giving its customer value for money, sonic excellence and beauty of design and build. The sound and technical performance of a CD player or amplifier depends on the layout and the circuitry (resistors, capacitors, transistors) and Musical Fidelity products have a unique layout for the circuitry, giving their customers good sound at a low price.
Cost over 1600 pounds new, still a high quality set-up now.
