Are there any good replacement locking nuts out there? - I'm assuming the Elise Parts nuts aren't locking.

If you absolutely must, you can keep the existing locking nut (although there's no need when the wheels don't fit anything elise) But for the love of God, get rid of the tin-plated guff that holds the other 3 studs.

I dare say that there may be better quality replacements - but you should ensure that they use a curved, not straight tapered, seat.

good point, never thought of that, I keep thinking about my mates £250 Escort that got its wheels nicked in a 'secure' under ground car park, but then those wheels probably fit half the crap cars on the road.

Still, none of this answers Tom's original question... I'm short one of those tin covers too!

Another vote for getting rid of them.

I sold all 16, the covers, the locking key and black plastic thing on flea bay for £15. New ones from lizbitz is only £25
