HPI Clear
One of only 85 135 Sport Series 1 Elise's, produced November / December 1998 from the first production run of 50 cars this is car no: 15. T – registration (1999).
Quicksilver in colour, Blue roof and red corbeau seats (much comfier than standard)
• 135 Spec engine upgrade (actually produces closer to 145 BHP) and factory fitted with very desirable close ratio gearbox.
• Currently has 76149k miles on the clock. Running very sweetly.
• Factory exhaust through pipe fitted
• New replacement disks fitted all round end of 2008 (no lips or signs of excessive wear, two new wheel bearings recently installed,
New RC5+ just fitted on the front, rears going on this week.
• Official Lotus S2 suspension upgrade installed by previous owner (new springs, shocks and mounting brackets, improves on original S1 setup).
• Tyres all good, rears replaced Oct 2009 (directional, BF Goodrich’s on front, Continentals on rear). Bought the car like this and havent worn them out yet.
• Thatcham Category 1 alarm (Standard Lotus spec – factory fitted).
• Sparkplugs and leads replaced 2008 along with air and oil filters.
• MOT'd to Feb 2011.
• Taxed to May 2011.
• All Service history, garage bills, receipts, MOT’s etc. available.
C service in 2009, last service was an unneccesary B service Oct 09.
New battery, battery cut off, lambda, s2 manifold and s2 downpipe and heatshield fitted for last MOT
Bad points:
currently has an earthing issue causing the stack Temp guage to underread. (55degrees) Ive changed both the blue and brown senders and ive been told it must be an earthing issue. Temp is constant and the radiator fan definitely works, comes on when you unplug the sender) so doesnt concern me.
Front is stone chipped
Clutch pedal bush is squealing (common problem) so have bought the eliseparts kit to replace, not yet fitted.
