Shower cape? I had my roof off over winter quite alot, it's cold but sunny and fixes hangovers really quickly.

Don't even think it's one of Connollys(?) lines. I think he pinched it from somewhere else.

Yeah - almost certainly true - but it was on very recently and reminded me what a good saying it was 8)

Something like that.

We used to get told that in training alot. Usually involved us standing around soaking wet in a field of snow, while the warm and dry instructor would tell us how if we had been properly dressed for the 7 mile stretcher run with 30kg packs we would be warm and dry like him (Not to mention driving in a landrover).

Oh his other favorites were that skin is waterproof so stop complaining about being wet and pain (And semen worryingly) is just weakness leaving the body.

Thanks for that Si Tatters wherever you are now.... :P

I'm going to miss the forces like a hole in the head... character building though  (FFS!)

Ha Ha, you could have got him there. Skin itself, i believe isn't waterproof. Partly water resistant maybe, but only because of the oils and stuff in it. Look at wrinkly skin in the bath....

But then you'd probably have got a pasting for being a sad pedantic fcuker(not a bit like me, honest guv...  )

I think it's more a general saying - have heard lots of folk use it, but it's interesting that Feinnes is creditied with it - wonder how they decide who'se saying it is?

Back on topic.

Ninja - Do you have a long or short tailed roof?

If you have the long tailed roof there's more to it than just fitting a roof - the roll cover has to be replaced and when it is the existing long tail roof won't fit.
