Got my VW Golf Clipper Cabriolet up for sale as think I will be moving into Porsche ownership.
Here's the situation:
1) Garage is willing to take the car as a trade in based upon one of their cars.
2) There is another private sale car that I like, which means I need to sell the Golf privately
Details are:
VW Mk1 Golf Cabriolet
"H" Reg with 85k miles in Red.
I have had the following work carried out in the last year:
The car had a reconditioned engine fitted (seemingly GTi head) in 2008: £843.91
Garage did the following for us prior to picking it up:
• Fit new Cambelt and Tensioner Pulley when we bought it: £140
Star Performance (Golf Specialist)
• Sump washer
• Oil Filter
• N/S/R Wheel Bearing kit
• Gearshift bracket
• 4 wheel alignement
• Fuel housing on cyclinder head
• Battery
• Cable for drivers seat
£483.14
CrazyQuiff’s Supply parts:
• Gearlinkage kit
• Fuel filler neck
Total: £179.50
Falmers
• 4 new Yohokama A Drive tyres
Cannot see invoice but approx £45 each :- £180
J&J McIndow (Garage close by to house)
• Top hose & Return Hose replacement
£69.65
Bedrock (Early Golf Specialist)
• Correct adjustment of Gear Linkage kit
• Weber Carb/Tune up
• Welding repair to inner sill
• Fuel Filler Pipe replaced
• Air Filler
• MOT
• Stripping Rear brakes, cleaning + reset
• Timing cover
• OSR window re-alignment, check strap fitted to N/S door
Bedrock bills: £668.75 + £327.67
So as you can see that the car has had money thrown at it in the last year of ownership and has had the majority of the major items rectified that go from a Golf perspective.
The MOT runs out on September 18th 2011
The Road Tax is the end of 31/03/2011
Looking for £2,200 (maybe slight reduction on price for Scottlish Elise'r if they can take it off my hand by 4th March)
