wanted - Winter hack

HI All,

Im currently looking for a winter car, I think that i would be a little optimistic to say that my 325 auto-slush-box'd touring will be of any use in the snow,

Something along the lines of a subaru impreza saloon - or wagon if it has a towbar, turbo or sport, max budget 1500-2000 definatly no more than that,

I have also looked at some forresters and legacies - but if i go for one of those it must have a towbar - so i can use it next year for the beemer, where as an impreze would scratch an itch as well as serve as a winter car!

looking forward to any suggestions.

PS - it MUST BE A MANUAL - im sick of automatics!
