Oxford Sports Panniers

Post by pete » Mon Jan 28, 2013 10:22 pm

For a motorcycle! They are blue and I found them in my loft recently while looking for books.

Well you can only imagine the excitement as I remembered my youth and this discovery may go someway to explaining the new copy of "Ride" magazine (a popular motorcycling periodical)that appeared in my house immediately after my next visit to Tescos.

Well Mrs Pete did not react well to this new purchase and instructed our daughter to explain to Daddy why he wasn't to buy a motorcycle until she was all grown-up.
"But," I protested, "Uncle Jim* has a motorcycle and he's 83!"
"Yes and Mummy says when you're 83 you can have one too, and if you get one now you won't see 83. Or 43."

Hmmm. Fair point. I have no self control. And by the time I'm 83 Motorcycles will have wings and stuff.

FOR SALE.

Pair of blue Oxford Sport Panniers. As new (ish very good nick from the quick once over I gave to them in the loft. I have customised them a bit, from memory. I made some extra straps with "speed clips" on as Oxford's fastening system was a bit rubbish.)

When i bought them I was going to tour the world but I never got round to it. I'm a busy man. But you could do it and then they would get to see more than the inside of a dusty box. They deserve their freedom. And all your motorcycling chums would envy you for your taste and bargain finding ability.

And how splendid would that be (I know you pretend not to care but deep down we all seek the approval of our peers.)

Offers.

(Photos on request but I'l have to go into the loft and stuff which is hard when at the moment as, typing this, I'm lying on the couch).

Bit like these. But this chap made more effort with his advert.
