Post by douglasgdmw » Tue Jan 07, 2014 2:18 pm

Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Targa

1st Registered in 1/11/91
Carrera 2 (rear wheel drive) with a 5 Speed G50 Manual Box
Flat Black (Schwartz) with White Linen Leather interior
Leather Sports Seats (4 way electric height adjustment), (2+2 seating configuration)
Electric Windows and Mirrors
Electric Spoiler
New KW Variant V1 Suspension has been recently fitted (Jun 2012)
New Front Door speakers replaced with Rainbow Dream Line's at Ray Smiths. Importantly these retain the OE look of the car.
Clear lenses have also been fitted along with Cup 1 replica alloys

Front of car has been resprayed due to cosmetic reasons only (no accident damage) and scuttle rust repairs carried out in the a-frame (common area of rust on older 911's) and rear bumper resprayed.

I also had a Peter Morgan inspection performed prior to the purchase of the vehicle. This verified the history and condition of the vehicle.

MOT until 04/08/2014 and Taxed until 31/08/2014 (Annual road tax is £225)

Service History is a mixture of Porsche Dealership and then Porsche Independant Specialist at the later history of the vehicle.

Price: £16,850 or slightly less for a Scottish Elise'r.

Already had a contact from a well known Porsche independent who said I have priced the car low for the market with the work performed.

However please contact me on 0771 489 4396 to discuss.

Some history about the 964 model range:
Of the modern 911 variants the 1989 - 1994 964 model is the rarest sight. Released just as the late 80s recession began to bite, there simply wasn't the money around for Porsche to sell as many 964s as they had in the heyday of its 3.2 predecessor.

The 964 series was at a casual glance very similar to the outgoing 3.2 Carrera, but Porsche claimed that 87% of the car was of new design. The aging torsion bar suspension was replaced with a fully independent coil sprung system all round and it featured improved aerodynamics, a powerful new 250BHP twin plug engine, ABS and power steering as standard. Previous body styles of coupe, targa and cabriolet were retained but as an option all variants were available with 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. Performance figures for both were exactly the same with 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 162mph which was up 10mph on the outgoing 3.2 Carrera.
