60 plate Honda Civic Type R (FN2 with LSD) - £9,500

Post by Lazydonkey » Mon Sep 08, 2014 1:40 pm

Mrs Donkey isn't getting on with my Civic and the Evora is proving to be much more practical (and addictive) than i expected so we're going to punt it for something more suitable for her 4 mile commute across glasgow.

Need to take the plate off and buy a new car first (one bit might take longer than another) but on the off chance anyone is looking for a car I thought i'd give you the heads up.

Civic Type R GT
Registered in Sept 2010 on a 60 plate
36k miles
Crystal Black Metallic with the usual type r red interior
HID lights with power wash
Auto rain sensing wipers
Auto dusk sensing headlights
Dual zone climate control
Refrigerated glove box
Fog lights
Electric folding wing mirrors
Cruise control
blah blah blah....
MOT'd until 11th August 2015
FHSH with next service due in March 2015 or at 42k miles

In addition as it's one of the last of the FN2 built it came with a factory fit LSD. So basically it's a Championship White car without white wheels and white paint. If you search any reviews of the CW car you'll see it's night and day compared to the standard car and as such it commands quite a premium....which makes mine a bargain ! Super rare as the LSD was only fitted to cars built after June 2010 and then the emissions regs killed the car in the UK. It's quite surreal how early you can get on the power and feel the car dragging you round the corner.

I've also fitted a Pioneer AVH-X5500BT Double Din stereo with reversing camera. Full spec is here

So it's got a proper parrot handsfree kit as part of it and you can stream music over BT, use the USB, the aux lead or ever one of those new fangled CD things. The install in a civic is a nightmare and the plastic surround is £200 by itself. Think the total install was £800 or so.

Can get some more pics if anyone is interested.

I love this wee car. It's a proper hooligan old school hot hatch and is brilliant fun to chuck about. It's also not bad on petrol (30.5mpg average over the last 15k with a high of 34 and a low of 27) and is stupidly cheap to run. VTEC is dangerously addictive and it has a lot more torque than you'd think. Condition wise there are a couple of tiny dings from car parks and a few stone chips on the bonnet but it's in very good condition.

Looking for £9,500 as an SE rate.

I also have a set of 4 unmarked 17" Civic ES wheels which have been powder coated grey and fitted with Continental winter tyres on them which are available separately. I did 6k on them last winter and they were excellent. Easily get another 2/3 winters out of them.

Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?
