Lotus S1 Elise 1998
37k miles
Blue
MOT until June 2017
All old MOT's to verify mileage.
The car was good before with no problems however I have just spent around £5k on a full body off refresh which I completed over the winter so now it is properly sorted. The refresh included:
Aluminium radiator, silicon hoses c/w stainless fittings, upgraded cooling fan, new coolant.
Replaced heater matrix ducting hose
Braided clutch hose installed to replace old red hose.
New stainless braided brake hoses and clamps all round
All wishbones removed, cleaned & recoated. New Ertacetal bushes all round, ball joints all round, new height adjustable Quantum shocks and springs, anti roll bar bushes. New tie bars, trackrod ends, drop links, all nuts & bolts & shims renewed.
New front Timmins wheel bearings (aluminium uprights all round)
New windscreen, upgraded wiper arm & blade installed
Timing belt, tensioner & waterpump replaced. Full service including oil, filter, fuel filter etc. New dip stick & magnetic sump plug. New fan belt and Rose jointed tensioner bar installed
New stainless and silicon exhaust mounts
New stainless front towing eye powder coated black
New upgraded silicon fuel filler & vent hoses not cheap for what they are ! New OEM fuel roll over valve, new filler cap.
All bodywork & under tray bolts, nuts & washers changed to stainless items
Upgraded rose jointed gearbox linkage, short shifter kit also installed for a far more positive shift than standard
4 new Yokohama AD08R's all round
Discs & pads as new
4 wheel alignment completed
All original parts also retained if required.
As you can see from the above a fairly well sorted S1 Elise with nice mileage. Less than 1k miles completed since the above refresh also had a full spanner check and MOT from CMC for peace of mind. Most parts from Eliseparts with all receipts also lots of photos of everything as it was being replaced.
As a package deal I also have a 2004 face lift (the facelift has a lighter flywheel as standard) EP3 Civic type R. I always had the view of installing the K20 into the Elise. I bought it at 80k miles and have used it to commute to work over the last few winters, now at 108k miles. Runs perfectly engine really strong, I have had it serviced by Honda with a full service history prior to me buying it. I have also had Honda install a new clutch around 90k miles. MOT'd until Feb 2017. Drop both down at CMC and you would drive home in the perfect S1 K20'd Elise. Only reason I haven't done it is that the current Kseries runs so well with no problems what so ever.
Cost for both cars together is fixed at £15,500. As said only thinking of selling as I have too many cars, anybody interested give me a shout.
