S2 135 Sport (SOLD)

Just testing the water to see if someone wants a project? If nobody wants it by next week I'll authorise the bodyshop to fix and arrange for the full 22K miles 111s set up I've lined up to be installed with a 270 exhaust cam, need to see if Stu can lighten my flywheel and get the ECU to KMaps and keep it... anyway here goes...

Toying with the idea of selling my 2001 S2 Elise as the engine has lost compression on one cylinder and it has a small split on the leading edge of the front clam... Is this the type of thing someone would use as a Honda car basis?

Car is a cat D and has 133k on the clock but has a great history with DVA and Gugliemi amoungst other specialists inc Craig Moncrieff Cars and main dealers, she's a very well looked after car with 633 cams and verniers. Last year I changed the discs, fitted RS-42 pads, refurbished the Gaz Gold Pro shocks, fitted an alloy radiator, new alternator, changed the clutch twice and the gearbox once, changed all fluids and belts and the spark plugs, the car has wanted for nothing and was pampered, I spent thousands on her last year.. It was also fully resprayed last year and has a short top conversion with a lined touring spec roof and a 3 element rear diffuser. I have also fitted HID headlights.

The reason I'm toying with selling it as it is is I'm not sure I want to throw a whole load more money at it as I don't have a garage so I have to pay for all the work, could be the ideal basis for a honda conversion or similar..

I can also chuck in a MG ZR VVC160+ with full history and 50K mile for an engine conversion as I've bought this already, but it's not going to be particularly cheap for me to do this as I have to put it to a garage to get done....

If I keep it I will lavish it with everything to make it perfect again in every way from the ground up as i'll not be able to help myself when I start but I'm not sure the final product will be worth what I end up spending on it anyway? So maybe someone with a set of tools and a garage would enjoy the challenge?

Anyway just testing the water, if she stays she stays if she sells I'll miss her but in all honesty I hardly get the time to use it due to my ridiculous work load and my family commitments, last year I was lucky as the wife felt sorry for me working so much she let me go the the Ring and Spa, I did 2 Walshy days and 4 trackdays at knockhill and maybe 1000 miles of nipping to the shops, and most of the NC 500 before it lost compression on one cylinder on the way to Applecross. I can't see me going to Europe this year if I fix her up as I'll have spent all I have fixing her up as I can't do any of it myself as I don't have a garage and work a crazy amount.. 40 of the last 48 hours! so I feel I'll be spending a load of cash and not really get to enjoy the car.

I'm not sure what it's worth but I'll listen to reasonable offers if it's of interest to someone?
