I wonder if anyone can help me find a used engine undertray. I recently bought the car and it's missing. I'd like one to keep all the dirt out of the engine so it continues to run well and so i can avoid rust issues.
Cheers
Wanted - S2 Engine Undertray
Expensive, but one option:
http://www.eliseparts.com/shop/index.ph ... cts_id=536
Note it's made of GRP so may actually not be what you want ...
Or contact eliseparts with:
http://www.eliseparts.com/shop/index.ph ... contact_us
And ask if he has a 2nd hand S2 rear diffuser as he breaks write offs for spares - probably won't cost too much if he has one.
The other elise tat places sell boy racer diffusers too, so you may be able to get a cheaper one elsewhere.
Or look on http://www.seloc.org classifieds - quite a big list of stuff on there most of the time. But rear diffusers are big and so you need to think that postage is going to cost as much as the sheet of metal!!
If you want to try and fabricate one from a copy of a real tray you're welcome to use mine as a pattern - it's actually only a couple of folds and some sheet metal cutting required ...
Cheers,
Robin

Cheers robin, simon. I'll have a look at those options and try and get it nailed before the weather gets too minging. The part that's missing is directly under the engine, the final section of the rear diffuser that you can see when looking at the back is in place. Ed, i bought it off autotrader from a bloke in Bellshill. It's in good nick but had ify service history so i had it in to Jude Perfromance last weekend for a proper check up and he's given it the all clear. MMC tried to stich me up so i found Dan's place thanks to this forum. The power of the internet.
