I might take the indicator/wiper stalks, depending on how they look in the flesh. Looked at them online but can't make my mind up if they're a bit "pimp my ride". Anything's better than those astra things though!

Is it okay if I take a wee looky at them on Saturday and make my mind up then Paul?

Cheers,
D

Hmmm - Not an ally tat fan (not really in keeping with the shed's image  ), but my handbrake handle is split & currently held together with tape... :)

If nobody else has dibs on the handbrake handle, I'm sure I could give it a good home...

Will catch up at the SIDC day - I ain't driving (can't afford to do KH and Oulton), but hope to drop by for the social side...

Ross.

P.S. If anyone has a spare 'astra' right hand stalk, I'm after one to replace my rather lopsided set up - 'Astra' indicator stalk / Ally tat stalk... :?

Have you seen the indicator/wiper stalks on the new astra? I got a new astra as a hire car for work and it was a nightmare. They don't stay up/down when you put them on. They return to the centre, even though the indicator is still on, so you have to push the stalk in the opposite direction to put them off. Basically, you end up indicating left then right then left then right randomly and confusing every other road user! Very stoopid design idea! :rage

Dezzy,

You can also push them half way in the same direction as you are indicating to cancel.

Ross,

The handle isn't split - the tape is just a hangover from autotesting the car where I taped in the handbrake button to stop it latching on during handbrake turns ...

Cheers,
Robin
