Only had it since August but the practicalities of having sold my day to day commuting car and having 2 kids is making it a luxury I can't really justify anymore.

1997 S1 on private plate
43k miles
FSH (Lotus and specialist)
Recent EBC green stuff pads and cross drilled and grooved discs.
K&N induction kit / filter (still have original also)
Sport 160 52mm throttle body (still have original also)
Sports De-cat fitted (still have original for MOT)
New face off Kenwood single CD / Tuner
Polished silver gear knob / handbrake, alloy stalks, heater controls, aerial and carbon fibre mirror covers.
Steering rack reconditioned and last full service done in September
Had its C service.

Had a wee bump last month to rear end which was only to the rear clam - nothing structural (receipt to prove). This has been fully professionally repaired and painted and no sign of any accident ever having taken place.

Interior has usual wear to the drivers side but nothing else apart from that.

Genuinely in good condition and HPI clear.

£7250 to anyone here else I will be putting it on Autotrader in the New Year for about £7500.

Sick as dog to be selling so soon after getting it but no real choice. PM me with your email address if you want pics.

Before you stick it in Autotrader have you considered a shed?

(cheap & nasty run around - sub 1k value - sub £500 if you can do a bit of spannering - just to keep you mobile in less than elise friendly weather)

Thanks for the tip Mac. May do this if I can't sell it but the type of driving I do regularly (Edinburgh and back in rush hours) make a shed less than appealing. I'm the first to curse shed owners who break down on the forth bridge making me late for work. Don't know if I could handle the embarrasment :oops:

in Dunfy tomorrow night if you are around this may just suit with budget now! Wife is looking to go it alone in the field of Oracle training and it looks like i could be pushing it but should still be okay!

Forgot to mention in 1st post that it has red momo leather 'snap off' steering wheel also - a good bit of extra security!

A "C" serviced refurbed rack S1 at that money has got to be a good buy. Good luck with the sale.

I can understand how you feel mate - don't know if i could handle the S1 as my only car during this weather! it's pretty grim :?

like Mac says, get yourself a shed :thumbsup
You'll be sick as a pig in the spring when the good weather comes around if you get rid of it!
