FWIW, I put brand new Toyos on for my walshy day and they lasted 7k, which is about what I expected and have gotten out of my other sets of tyres.

When are you going?

My R888's are near end of life (well the rears are, and you won't do much damage to the fronts) - if you want to swap the rims for the trip you are welcome to do so, but be warned they are 195R16 on the front, not 175 and with standard suspension there is a tiny chance you could rub the tyre against the front wheel arch.

The rims aren't in great condition, but I would ask you bring them back no worse!

Cheers,
Robin

Actually I have booked myself on now for April 6th, so might have to withdraw the offer - soz.

If you can use some free shreddable tyres I also have a pair of legal rear RE040s in S2 size but no fronts - your fronts don't get hammered anyway, so you could just burn my old rears?

Cheers,
Robin
