SELT- VX220 - SOLD

Post by Rag_It » Sun Dec 04, 2005 12:30 am

As you may have read, I have a new job which means that I am going to have to commute for a while from Edinburgh to Dundee, which is 120 miles every day!

It genuinely saddens me to have to put her up for sale, however saving for another property, I have to stick to one car, unfortunately a Diesel!

2001 N/A X reg
Calypso Red
27000 miles
FVSH
Black Leather Seats
Alpine Speakers
VDO Speed sensitive headunit
VX220 carpets
Taxed until 30th June 2006
MOT March 2006 (breezed last MOT, needed one light bulb!)
Full Outdoor Vauxhall VX220 cover
Leather door pockets

It has had two previous owners, the owner before me was a man in his 40s and the owner before him was vauxhall.

I have recently replaced the coolant header tank due to old age and have recently upgraded the front pads.

It has EBC Greenstuff pads
Always run on Optimax

The VX is in excellent condition and the interior still looks great, it is also waxed with meguirs latest wax and it comes up amazingly. There is however the usual smattering of Stone chips, but simple to fix.
It has been on track at Knockhill but only once, fantastic car on track, and
an awesome bit of kit which I have only used at weekends really.

Price - Reduced to £10,000 ono one of the cheapest around as I bought it from Mercedes at Trade price so not looking to profit from it.

More picture to follow tomorrow.

Contact me via PM or on 07887 923343

Comments welcome

Cheers,

David

Thanks mate, more pics and stuff on Pistonheads. Definately one of the cheapest cars out there and runs as sweet as a nut and really low mileage for her age!

As for Dundee, I am going to commute as of next Monday, however I have an Audi A4 1.9TDI Sport lined up - dirt cheap again at trade price and its on a 53 plate with 18k miles!

However I dont want to hang on to the VX for long as it is obviously going to mean I have two cars and am not that financially well off!

Dave

Shame to hear Dave... Still I've got a lot of newfound respect for Audis as sensible cars - new g/f has an S3 and it's a blinding car.

Sure you'll sort out the commute situation before long and retun to the fold - the call is strong....... 8)

Shug without a doubt mate, as soon as I either move or am able to work from home then there will be a small, light, nimble car sitting in my space!

I would love an Audi A3 1.9tdi quattro sport but still far too pricey as a daily commute, i think the A4 at trade price of 12.5k will be a great car.

Cheers,

Dave
