Fitting the black badge would remove any history that the car has as it would not be original.

Just remember, Gareth, that in time, the little plaque on the tub will help the residuals of that particular car.

Cheers

Yeah but my current one needs replaced so is it better just to swap like for like???

Total thread hyjack but...

Is my car going to be worth anymore or not depreciate as hard as any other 135R due to being number 1?

Just that there is a 135R on autotrader for £16K :(

There's an argument that, if it's kept a minter, you could use the build number as leverage when selling. It's not gonna be worth millions or anything, but handled correctly when selling, it could command a small premium.

It also depends on how long you keep hold of it for.

I'm a classic car nut - rebuilt spitfires and TR7's in the past.

Got a bit fed up with it and decided that rather than rebuild an old car, I would get a new car and keep it as a classic.

I fully intend on running around in my elise when I'm in my fifties - if you keep it that long then yes, your car would a fair bit more than mine.

Cheers

So why did you not get the classic version & not the rehashed overweight, decaf mark 2...

Original and Best....
