S1 Elise

Post by gordon » Thu Dec 15, 2005 3:48 pm

Well my car is up for sale.
Spec is........

New Aluminium Silver S1
54,000 miles
2000 model
Black leather interior
Cobra Cat one Alarm (Top Spec Lotus Alarm upgrade)
Driving lamps with protective covers
Blue soft top
High spec Sony CD player with remote control
4 new Advan Neova tyres
New EBC green Stuff pads all round and 5.1 fluid recently changed
Push button start
Decat pipe (but original cat included in sale)
Stainless Steel Janspeed rear silencer.
All exhaust has been heat wraped to keep luggage bay temps down
Full lotus history to 40k (see below for my service specs) had belts replaced 10k ago.
Taxed (a few months left)
Full Years MOT

Suspention; The car has a modified version of Steve Butts S2 kit. It runs 110/120 ride height, but has modified spring settings and modified rear shock mounts. Plus i have spent alot of time setting the geometry (4 geo sessions!) to get the car handling perfectly. I dont know of any other car in the country running this suspention and geometry set up.

But the best left till last. The car has been serviced religiously and runs the best Silkoline oil, changed every 2000 miles. It also gets a fuel flush once a month. The car was on the dyno and for a standard car it should be 118bhp. The car today put out 136bhp and 158nm torque. Mechanically it is certainly one of the best Elises out there. Apart from some stone chips on the front clam it is in exellent condition.

If your seriously interested e mail me at gord2910 at hotmail dot com and we can discuss a price.
Cheers

Gordon

I spoke to you at Kh about it a few times Mac. Was always a bit undecided about what way to go with the hobby. I'll be around a bit. Been really wanting a high spec 7 or similar for ages, but really need to move house first. Been keeping in touch with my biking buddies since i gave up Motocross. My mate won the 400 Scottish in 04. And races a GSXR 1000, came 3rd in the MRO this season, so is a top british rider. So providing i can get a decent bike and he decides to do the scottish next year (he'll be giving me space in the paddock to pit with him) it'll be all go. If not i'll continue the running and get saving for 2007 season.

Mac
It's always been a real quick car for some reason (as i'm sure you'll vouch for  :D ) . Just a good engine i suspect. But i'm really happy with the results.

Gordon,

Keep in touch by e-mail when you get back into the bikes. Think I've mentioned it to you before that my young nephew is keen on motocross as is currently involved in the "clubman" level. He's on the track at Balbeckie(sp?) on the M8 coridor most weekends.

Cheers
