British GT Champ @ KH (NLC)

Post by Stewart » Sat Apr 12, 2008 3:32 pm

I wakened fairly early this morning and despite the weather forecast decided to head to KH for the GTs. Turned out that the weather stayed dry and was even sunny at times. Not sure if it was cold as I was very well wrapped up. Wimped out of taking the elise and took a car with a roof so that I could dry/thaw out if need be. I stayed till lunch time.

Some of the GT cars are just awesome round there and I think the race will be great wet or dry. I think the best lap time was 51.03 secs but would imagine that this was bettered in the afternoon (if it stayed dry)

Here are some of my pics. Most turned out way better than I thought they would.

You should've stayed longer, we had snow during the Formula Ford race, cars were sliding off everywhere and one blew an engine on the pit straight There was also oil dropped at the chicane during the GT race, the white Porsche was looking very second hand at the end - damn good driver though.

Mike.

Sky were there, so probably.

Weather held up pretty well today too, but quite a few offs- seemed to be watching the safety car most of the afternoon... :|

JJ, if you'd collected the gallardo bits lying about the track you'd be half-way to ownership...

It will also be on Freeview as well, as I watched the previous round last week.

Apparently it'll be on Channel 4 at some unknown future date, according to today's commentary team anyway...
