I embarked on a Washing / Claying / Polishing / Sealing and Protecting spree that ended up making Dezzy's 7 hour stint seem like a walk in park.

I washed the bodywork then clayed it and then gave it another quick wash to get rid of the residue from the claying. I then took the wheels off and washed them down along with the wheel arches while I was at it. I then polished the wheels and followed this up with three coats (count-em!)
of wheel sealant. A splash of Tyre Gel finished them off nicely.
I then went to Halfrauds and bought one of these little 12v car polishers - I polished the bodywork with an Acrylic Polish then applied some Acrylic Gloss and finished with a coat of Acrylic Protectant.
The car was looking good by this point...

...but the inside was manky as we had been driving on dirt roads in Italy with the roof off. Only one thing for it, took the seats out and blitzed the interior.
I'm not really sure how long this little lot took me - suffice to say my neighbours think I have OCD but I'm happy with the end result and I feel that the car has been properly prepared for the coming winter.
Cheers,
John
