Mbike tyre question NLC

Wifes bike has 26*2.00 knobbly tyres on it, she wants some slicks for France. Will 26*1.5 tyres fit ?

PS for road bikers theirBonty tyres are too cheap not to buy

Should not be a problem AFAIK (will require different inner tubes to fit tyre sizes I would have thought).
