Run to Rannoch Moor
Re: Run to Rannoch Moor
Fantastic photographs. Any Photoshop in there or are they straight out of the camera?
It looks very cold.
It looks very cold.
Re: Run to Rannoch Moor
Other than the border, I think I upped the brightness in one and reduced the contrast in one as the colours just seemed too strong. I am not much of a photoshop tweaker as I never know if I am improving or making a picture worse. The Nikon PictureProject software I was has an "auto adjust" button so normally just hit that and live with the resultsbingoking wrote:Fantastic photographs. It wasn't too cold, probably slightly above freezing, there was next to no wind so was just about ideal. My speedcats did get a bit soggy tramping across the moor so heater was full on the feet for the drive home

I don't think that camera does any "extra" sharpening and I certainly didn't add any afterwords. Theses were all shot in JPEG as again I don't know what I am doing with RAWsmee wrote:Did you apply some sharpening orwas that done in camera?Stewart wrote:Other than the border, I think I upped the brightness in one and reduced the contrast in one as the colours just seemed too strong. I don't find the photography bit the hard bit, the hard bit is being in the right place at the right time. The pro's combat this by a lot of planning and a lot of early mornings and a lot of hanging about.
If you have a digi camera, just go somewhere nice on a sunny day and make sure you get the sun behind you and you really can't go wrong. The worst thing you can do is to not at least give it a go.

Re: Run to Rannoch Moor
Great pics. Makes me determined to slope off for a day soon. Certainly preferable to work or getting ready for Christmas!
