Forrestburn video

Post by zilspeed » Sat Aug 19, 2006 10:39 am

As a wee memento of t'other night for those who were there - and perhaps to entice some new faces along in future.

Some video footage of Drew Murray's Fisher Fury Hayabusa at Forrestburn.

Some stats :-

438kg ready to go
Anywhere between 170 and 180bhp depending on who you're asking

So - quite similar to the Hoymobile then

Anyway The video
(The voice at the hairpin is Jock of fun night hill control infamy).

Now Now John he is on slicks ( 2 secs better) and going very well

My Hoyabusa is fully road legal on road legal tyres and driven to Forrestburn, weighs 480kg and has currently a 175 bhp standard Hayabusa engine and is covered in cobwebs ;)

Stirring it ?

Moi ?

Only jesting.

Yes, he is going very well, as I found out the other night. Had a wee go up the hill in the passenger side of the car. Clucking Bell !! Or something like that.

P.S. Cobwebs ? For why ?

I had a great time. It was my first time driving the course, so was pretty slow to start off. Great twisty & undulating course

The next fun night (next year) can't come soon enough :drive

I would like Sunday 24th September - two weeks after the hillclimb.

As I said - watch this space.

I've never done Forrestburn but that video makes me want to! Looks like a fun course. :D

One thing with the vid - it looks like he gains a passenger half way...
Then falls out again by the end... :D

Just been looking for an in car of Forrestburn but there are problems with them all either misting camera or camera pointing at gear lever and not track.

Hope this one gives a wee taster to what it's like to drive it

Lawrence

Would you mind if I do an (obvious) edit of that and stick a link of it onto the club website ? Hosted on my space/bandwidth.

Full credit for the video and the driving of course. :)

(When I say edit, I mean leave out the second 1/2 run / leisurely drive bit)

That's the biggest problem Gordon

by the time you can afford it, you're too old to drive fast ;)
