TrackScotland Charity Trackday - pics and vids

Post by TrackScotland » Fri Jul 22, 2011 8:43 am

We organised a charity trackday at Knockhill. It was a success and raised aprox £550 towards our £6k target..... so thanks to those that helped out and sorry that we had to cancel the planned 4hr event and revert to 2hr only due to lack of numbers (we maybe could have run it in the end but we need the bookings before the last day!!! :P )

Doug (lucky barsteward but did have a lot of raffle tickets LOL) in the GTR won 2 raffle prizes and David (R400) won the other.....

Doug - Free TS trackdays for 2012
David - Laps with BTCC driver Gordon Sheddon
Doug - TrackScotland shirt

Yes it was a good evening. It threatened to rain but never really got wet, just damp enough to take ther edge off your confidence. Didn't seem too busy and there were some quick cars there.

It poured with rain just before I left home, so it was on with the screen and the 15inch wheels (as they had new tyres on them) but that put an end to any quick times. Nevertheless the car felt great and I played around with some softer ARB setting. Also won the 2nd prize in the raffle :D Looking forward to a few laps with Gordon Shedden :thumbsup

I'll post some vids when I get a chance.

Nice pictures.

The GTRs look very fast but boring as hell.

Here they are:

First session with some rain and nothing particuarly exciting but settled down towards the end.

Solo session and probably the quickest I've gone with the screen on so quite pleased. A lock up in to the hairpin scarred me a bit but looks like nothing in the vid.

Unfortunately I forgot to turn on the camera for one session (which was probably visually the best  )

Loving the footage David, what system is that which gives your track position, throttle position, braking, G etc? Looks amazing! :thumbsup

I need to work out how to make the dash fill the bottom of the screen (and the sync's out by 0.5 sec), but here's my attempt on my fifteen quid mini DV camera...

Fluuxetine - I use RaceChrono2AVI to make the 'dash' and use VBOX data... you can resize it there.

Then Sony VegasPro to overlay the vids
