They have some fabs bits of road on Skye, with some good tarmac (flat, but chipped). That 4th pic looks like up near Kilt Rock - a nice part of the country. The Glenvarigill stretch is also a bit of fun in the twisties :thumbsup

4th pic was up towards Staffin. We went right round the north of the island, starting from Kinlochleven then up throough kyle broadford portree staffin uig then down to Dunvegan where we camped overnight. Then home to Hamilton the next day.

Would have been better to stay an extra night and enjoy it a bit more but it was raining on way back anyway :-)

Lovely pics :thumbsup
Sadly, my last trip to Skye was pishing doon all week and we ended up bailing out the Elise, there was so much water swishing about.
Heading back for a night at the end of August so hoping for some proper roof-off motoring.

Good to see she's still running well Kev :thumbsup

We're doing a PH run to Skye on the 27th/28th August if any of you fancy re-visiting those lovely roads.

Last year we got rained out of skye, the tent got left in the car and we went to a b&b then drove home next day.

She's getting better and better, since I bought it she's had the cambelt changed, brakes changed ( mintex and plain discs ) suspension changed ( s2 billies now), wheels and tyres changed ( refurbed AWI's and ku31s), steering rack changed ( what a difference) and a proper geo. Maybe a money pit.

Hmm could maybe manage 27th/28th, I'll be the one about 2 miles behind the rest. You still got the crazy engine MR2?

Esthi - is the audi turbo powered Elise ? Sure that will be an experience

Third photo is at the "quiraing" the road itself is pretty poor condition single track but the photo opportunity is worth it. Go up the NE and its either from Uig to Staffin and cut onto the B road marked quiraing or from Staffin to Uig.

The road to Elgol is meant to be picture perfect as well but didnt' go down it.
