i) I looked at the Type 25 MMC had in stock, before opting for my Elan Sprint. It's very nice - are you enjoying it ?
ii) My kids call me "Silly Old Hector" - my name on the other car fora I'm on

I love the Elan Sprint too, it's one of my favourite cars, right shape, right size, right performance and brilliant handling, but even when they were current stories about problems with rubber doughnuts, electric windows and pop-up headlamps were etched in my mind, so from my point of view, it's always nice to admire someone else's
But to me, the Elise is still a handy size, and I really love the shape.
And the Jim Clark connection just tops it off for me as a very special car.
The one aspect which is worse is the tyre wear - I'm already on my second set of rear tyres

which came as quite a surprise since it still smells like a new car inside and the novelty factor hasn't worn off yet - I had never left it anywhere until this summer when I had to park overnight in a town car-park in France because the hotel was only accessible along alleys.
So yes, I am enjoying it very much, thankyou, and hopefully it should go on for 10-15 years, and when either it finally stops going, or I become too old to get in and out, I shall just park it in the back garden and look at it. Perhaps I'll even let people come to see it for a couple of bob.
I tell you what, I wish I had a shilling for every photo that people have taken of it - I'd be well on the way to getting an Elan Sprint! A young French couple even videod it for several minutes on the Autoroute
Finally, I'd better post up the Jim Clark leaflet, since that's why I signed up amongst Jimmy's countrymen in the first place...
