I love the magnetic blue, goes really well with the black wheels. Enjoy :D

Lovely colour.

What is the spec? Assuming its an S although it doesnt have the colour coded bits and I thought they were discontinuing the NA :?

May give you a buzz for a wee run this weekend. :D

Hi folks,

Thanks for all the congrats! :D Been out in it all night and have now put 160 miles on the clock since pulling away from MMC at around 6pm! Off to Oban this weekend with some friends, so can't make any runs, but at least that'll add another 200 miles to the total. Probably won't join any runs until it's had it's first service between 750 and 1000 miles as I'll be too tempted to use 2nd cam!  :D

Kenny, it's not an S. It's NA. Probably one of the last ones as I think they are indeed discontinuing them next year. I just couldn't stretch to an S and this was such a good deal, I couldn't resist. I wouldn't usually even think about a new car but the deal was so good it made far more sense than any used car on the market! I've got Graeme at MMC to thank for that :thumbsup

It's got aircon plus the sports pack: Traction Control, twin oil coolers, sexy sports seats with holes for harnesses, harness bar and upgraded rollover hoop. I looooove the seats! 8) I've not got harnesses in it yet, but may consider them in future when I start tracking it. Probably won't track it this year but hopefully next year. It's also got the full defendall kit and as it's a 2007 spec, it's got the newer Alpine stereo rather than the Blaupunkt. It's got the nice carbon leather effect door inserts to match the carbon leather on the seats. It does have good old fashioned window winders though, which will take a bit of getting used to after having a touring pack!

Will definitely be getting a 2bular. It actually sounds great from inside the cabin without all the touring pack sound deadening nonsense. I've totally switched from the kind of guy who wants comfort and a touring pack, to the kind of guy who wants to hear more noise!   Although it does sound good from the inside, I'll probably get a 2bular to add to the exterior noise! :D

I really can't express how happy I am. It means so much to be back in a Lotus. I feel like I'm me again! :D It definitely pulls way more looks than the Elise did and I'm loving the colour. The handling is fantastic so far and I'm sure it'll feel even better when I can get it up to speed and on-cam. There's quite a dramatic difference in the gearbox from my Elise too - feels far more sporty and chunky. The pedals are great so far, although I'll not really get to fully test the drive by wire til I'm past the first service. It just feels much more planted than my Elise!

This has been a pretty tough time, going through the first ever car accident I've been involved in and the experience of going through a write-off, etc. You guys have all been so helpful and supportive through it and I want to say thanks for that. It's all now rounded off by being so happy about having another Lotus again!

Cheers,
D
:D

P.S. Will post some more pics after the weekend.

Good work dezzy. Glad to see you back in a Lotus, just watch those tyres in winter - I would suggest changing them to something else as I did and a few others have done, as it makes life much easier and I know you use the car daily.
