No HDR in these shots, but I have used in a few others,
Gary.

Your PP workflow would be an interesting read, there's clearly a fait amount of manipulation - but the result works nicely... the clarity and toning range you achieve is beautiful.
careful you don't overdo it with the praise theremeatball wrote:Not bad!
Even more impressive. The one with the car in it... I could swear that's impossible!EliseR wrote: No HDR in these shots, but I have used in a few others,

Errr... isn't that what HDR is? I'm confused now.EliseR wrote: Bracketed exposures, one for the car, one for the sunset, blended into one shot. Common technique, used to be done in the darkroom too.

My understanding was that HDR imaging broadly covered any image created using a composite of a number of exposures to create a final image which would not otherwise be possible due to having a dynamic range beyond the capability of the equipment (which closely resembles our own eye, therefor the sort of scene we wouldn't be able to see in real life).EliseR wrote:HDR is when you take multiple exposures (all of them different), and then Tone Map them, normally using something along the lines of Photomatix etc. The difference is pretty astounding, as the entire scene is sampled and mixed across the entire exposures I think. What I have done, is taken a soft edged selection, and deleted the dark area from where the car is, with the lighter exposure behind it.graeme wrote:Errr... isn't that what HDR is? My explanation of HDR is not technical, and likely not right eitherHowever, its the only way I know it.
Cheers,
Gary.
That would make a good photo, jump starting the GT3 off the AMVshooomer wrote:Porker has a flat batteryEliseR wrote:Shoomer, you have a Vqsh???? WowI would be DELIGHTED to take some photos! What happened to your porker, or have you kept it for the weekends?
