No, original Photo
hmmm

all I can think is small (Maglight) bulb wired in and conected to power or possibly magnesium fitted between the gap and wait for it to burn.

failing that you will have to let me in on how,
for something more impressive try a sparkler behind the plug on a black background ;) you could hang the plug from some fine wire/thread then rotate it a little so it doesn't look like it's just hanging :D

Inspired by your efforts I've tried to take some of Millie yesterday... Criticism welcome.

Some photoshop but not very much, just played with the levels.

I have a newly decorated room (white re-plastered walls) with a big bay window flooding in lots of light yesterday lunchtime.

Used on camera flash as well, then in photoshop used levels to set the wall as the white point reference, this made it essentially disappear and boosted the other colours slightly which I then toned down a little with saturation adjustment.

Then wasted the rest of the day trying to print it out as a Christams present for my wife...

Glad you like it (it genuinely was your shots and a long chat about photography the other night with a mate which inspired me to take some photos), bit annoyed it's not quite as sharp as I would have liked - I was in a hurry so used my 18-200 instead of the 50mm I should have used..

Very cool, the pink is fantastic!!! I still havent a clue what I'm doing to be honest, only been taking photos with the SLR for around 3 months. Before that it was point in shoot with a mobile phone :D

Loads to learn, but it's very good fun. I want to try and crack tabletop photograpghy, (in particular, small items, slick white background, item appears to be floating in white space)...

Me neither TBH. Those were taken on the spur of the moment on the way out the door...

But because I'm a bit of a perfectionist (too much knowledge with not nearly enough talent) I spend ages trying to fix stuff in PS and inevitably just make it worse ;(
I suspect you are way more techy than me but Scott Kelby's "The photoshop book" is a god send very practical advice to achieve some basic fixes.
I like taking photos of people but trying to get them not to smile is a bugger without sounding like an officous twat :))) so I don't normally try and end up disappointed with my photos...
I've just spent the evening trying to fix some photos I took on a point and shoot in Mull in the spring to try and get them to look like they looked in my head when I took them, but which they singularly failed to look like when I got home...

Gary,

Genuinely really impressed! You must in some way be quite creative and arty (i guess by your job!) as it is a brilliant shot, and one that worked really well for you.

Anyway, photoshop or not, it looks brilliant.

Quick question,

Is it possible using photoshop to turn for example, a grey backround into a pure white background using white bal;ance? If so, would it also effect all other colours or is it the grey which would change in isolation?

Downloading a Photoshop Trial for a play about, can't believe I have never used it!!!

Ta :) It took a while to get that one the way I wanted. I was in the kitchen in blackness, apart from a few candles lighting the bottle etc. Everything was on a mirror, and I was standing behind the scene "wafting" a brown towel to ensure the background was "non coherent"...
