Aye and those of us that will have spanked many £££'s on a Lotus by then will be poor once again, and not have a couple of K for an awesome holiday of driving, trackdays and £1500 worth of AFF!!
However....it would be feckin awesome to take two weeks out and do a mini FF and include the AFF course- like where is my pay rise?!

Thought some of you might like to see this
snippet of what I have been up to in Spain over the weekend - been trying to learn the basics of formation skydiving - i.e. being able to move up/down/forwards/backwards and side to side relative to other people, and it is bloomin difficult! The idea is to do everything in a slow controlled manner at first so you don't clobber the person you are jumping with, so the jumps probably look a bit tame as a result. Made a total arse of my exit on the 3rd jump on the video and got flipped as I came out the plane. The first solo exit on the vid was at 9 am on Sunday and was a great hangover cure from too much cerveza the night before
Mark (76 skydives and counting. I can stop anytime....)

Addict!
Si and I have been looking into St Andrews for the AFF, and they are looking at £1300, seems not too bad and very close to home! However, maybe not as much fun!

Hey, go for it - you will love it! BUT, and it is a really big but, if you want to do AFF, trust me you would be far, far better off going to Spain and it would not cost much more. In fact it will very probably cost less as you would be far less likely to need to repeat any AFF levels which quickly gets very expensive. Somewhere like Ocana or Empuria the weather is usually great, they have much better planes which go higher more quickly, so you will get more jumps each day which builds your confidence more quickly. This is what AFF is all about - it has to be intense or it just doesn't work very well. And the instructors generally have way more AFF experience as they are doing it all week, all year round.
