Nope, it's still tosh.

Though I do like Gareth's new avatar. Can't wait to design my next one ;-)

Nice car Gareth. I'll look forward to another nice one in a couple of months

Interesting how hardtop cars are always somehow way cooler than their softie equivalents. The Z4 looks so much better as a coupe, the Cayman is better than the Boxster, convertible 911s are just plain wrong, and dare I say it the Exige definitely has a more hardcore aura than the Elise. I would make an exception for a convertibe Zonda though :)

I would agree with that Mark, much as I love open air motoring, the tin top nearly always looks better than the soft top version.

However soft top down or off, it can be a different matter, as in the S1.

Very nice Gareth,

Good to see you came over to the dark side and got your self a slice of ///M.

Somewhat ironically, after M number four, I find myself on the hunt for something from Hethel, which is what brings me to this site.

Anyway, having driven Daryl's Z4MC (Daz05 on PH), I can confirm that it's one hell of a piece of kit and most definately a lot perkier than the cooking E46 M3 Coupe.

Best colour too. Congrats :cheers

Will it see the track or is the wee Elise dedicated for that task?

Simon.

Hi Simon, welcome to Scottish_Elises.

Are you seriously considering buying an Elise/Exige?

Cheers Tut,

Yep, it's been on my mind for a while now. Despite that, I still went and bought another M3 with the intention of stripping it, but then I realised that without spunking mega amounts of cash all over it, I'd never get the sort of performance that can be achieved much more easliy via the Elise et al route.

So once I flog it, I'll be on the hunt for a nice S1 think. Alas, I've got things like houses and girlfriends to buy, so funds are tight. Budget will be around £7k.

I see you have a minter up for sale
