MLR Sprint at Ingleston (FALC)

Just thought I'd share this with you chaps. :D

The Lancer Register hired Ingleston at the weekend for the 6th round of the Sprint Series. These are basically single timed runs. Best time wins.

Video of 3 of my runs here. http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?doc ... 3694353114

My launches were diabolical. Just had a twin plate clutch installed and need to raise my stationary rev limit from 4,000rpm which is nowhere near enough for launches. Other than that the runs were pretty good. :D

Most fun however was after we cleared the cones away and went out for a play. We were getting some nice drifts round the bends with the help of the grass.  (Ed will back me up on this :D )

Winning time was a 63 sec run, my best was 67.31. :(

It's quite cheap to hire Ingleston for the weekend may be an idea for SE at some point, as long as I can come.

Yeah was good fun.

I helped set it up on the Sat and turned up just as everyone was leaving on the Sunday!

Cheers for the shot of your evo D. Was great fun! :thumbsup

Will have to look into hiring it out for us! 8)

If I knew it was on I would came along to spectate
It wasn't really highly publicised as only Evo's are allowed to enter as it's the official sprint series for the MLR. Hence I didn't think many others would have come. Sorry.

Would've been good to see the Porker testing the course when we set up on the Saturday though. 8)

We had a few practice runs on Saturday to test the course for the official runs on Sunday.

I can remember when I did a few rally events there. They (Ingliston) used to go 'mental' if you went on the grass. In many of the rallies the regs stated it was instant exclusion from the event if you went mowing.

I thought it used to be silver must be through to primer by now  Paul could you send me details of your contact for detailing. What do they charge? Not going down the EliseR route with £1k down and £100 a month

Nice range of refreshments in the fridge by the way, no beer though

Here's Rog's video. It has a bit more than mine so you can see all the cars doing their runs.

With some bonus hooning at the end when we were 'testing' the track.

They still do

When I investigated this last I was told exactly that driving on the grass was a "don't come back" and that is why the drifting clubs are not there now.

We certainly toyed with running something with an autotest the same day but it never materialised....

Ive emailed them to enquire whether or not we can get it.

Obviously we would try and stay clear of the grass! :)
