Karen/Simon,
Why dont we make the calendar entry for December 2008 a collage of photos of Lawrence as a mark of respect to him. I'm sure that we will have many photos of him and it will be a good way to remember him by.

Nice idea.
Hey we might even have enough between us for an entire calendar!! Perhaps we could even run that as a 2nd SE calendar just for next year alongside the regular one, and levy a pound or two per unit for a donation to a relevant organisation. I can't say for sure but I think Macmillan provided some help to Lawrence and Katrina. I think it meant a lot to him to be at home despite how ill he had become.

Campbell brilliant thought - the Macmillan nurses are real angels (helped my Aunty out no end in her time of need) that would be an awesome cause. I'm sure that someone could check with Lawrence's family and let them pick the suitable charity nearer the time.

I'm not keen on the idea tbh and would rather leave the calendar as it is.
Surely a fitting tribute would be an annual SE sprint with an entry fee to raise money for cancer charities?
I do also feel that this discussion is maybe just a little bit premature and would perhaps be best left for at least a few weeks.

Personally I quite like the idea of just having Dec 2008 dedicated to Lawrence instead. That's quite a nice idea.
How about another Cancer fund raiser at KH similiar to the Archos day?
Funds going to the Macmillan. Perfect I think as we all have fun, it was something Lawrence enjoyed and we raise money. Hurdle will be getting companies to stump up the £ for trackday hire unless KH are feeling generous.

Agree that we should leave the calendar as is
As to discussing what SE can do for charity i don't know if we should discuss it now or to wait.
But i do feel that we as a group should adopt a charity and profits made from sprints, calendars, bulk buys etc
I have a few other ideas about what we could do but i think we should discuss this later but not too late while the idea is fresh in everyones minds

Don't want to upset anyone so accept it's worth parking this thread for now.
I think the important thing is the thought and the spirit that lies behind it.
