It may look rather plain without them though, I think they are only there to give you something to look at

Agree. Would look like a jelly mould without something to lead the eye. Some more evocative colour schemes would be nice though (the photo of the proper lotus green & yellow one kicking about is excellent)

I would agree they do look plain without decal's

Not so. In a light colour it looks great. sure it's wedgy and won't win any beauty awards but it's by no means ugly enough to warrant the absolutely sh*te schemes Lotus insist on, or that green and yellow nonsense.

Pearl white looks loverly.
