I have always liked 944's and remember really drooling when I ever saw one on the road. Think they still look classy. Its odd to think you can now pick one up to use almost as a toy. Much impressed

£1200 - bargin i reckon (ok it has done 120K), 1 years MOT, 8 months tax and about 7mm tread on the tyres.
It's fit as a fiddle and seems really strong, not the quickest but should be good fun

That's a steal mate. Not many better to teach the joys of RWD, from reputation.

Very nice, always had a soft spot for 944s as my dad had one a few years ago

Lovely car to drive, probably not very quick by todays standards but felt very special at the time - have fond memories of a trip to Silverstone one year with it. Still think I'd like to own one myself at some point in the future

Bought it from a fella near Glenrothes. The car was on eBay & Autotrader there are loads on there at the mo - scarily cheap and plenty off them so its a real buyers market at the minute it seems
Insurance for us was £275 fully comp on a classic policy (sdp & C) - which included trackday cover for porsche GB events, other track days are £60 per event
Very pleased all in all, heres hoping we don't stuff it into the wall on the first run out

You all know my opinion!
Please please, do the cambelt/balance belt! They break for fun as the front oil seals weep into the belt cover (Especially after 120k miles) and then the belts die in a horribly terminal way. Is it a 16 or an 8 valve?
If you need any bodywork bits (Or you stuff it into a wall) drop me a line, lots of bits common between 924/944s and there are lots of good obscure bits places that can help you out
You may be the slowest on track, but you will be so much more comforatable

Cambelt was done this summer

- first thing we checked - the 2.5 does not have the balance belt either (at least i dont think they do? :S)
Cheers for the offer of bits tho Rich - we are putting it up on ramps Wednesday night to do a bit of prep work so depending what we find i might need to take you up on that

Oh yes it does

Mine is the Audi lump so more basic than a basic thing, you have half a 928 engine, so its out of balance by default (Missing 4 pots for a start) so there is a balance shaft to sort that out. If its out of kilter you will loose your fillings.
