Mini porn David. Ricky would enjoy working on that.

From the spec of the engine, do you know what power it should be pushing out?

Cheers Guys,

power should be in the region of 145bhp at crank maybe a little more but around that mark, think i was told it should push 120 at wheels.

To be honest i have thought about it before but there is so much blood sweat and tears that i couldnt part with it.

I got it when I passed my test so have become too attached, that am i have spent about 20k overs the years on it.

Worth a try tho.

Very Nice.
A labour of Love?

120BHP seems a astonishing amount out of an A series?
Will the gearbox stand up to it?
I am sure McDonald Minis will put me right...... :)

I had a 1968 1071S with all the bits
Lightened and balanced
Special Head
649 Cam
Twin 1 1/2 SU's
Tuftrided Crank
LCB Manifold
C/R Box

75 BHP on a good day but still plenty fast.

Fast enough for a certain other member of the "Still Game" team to roll it on its roof

:cheers
