The "Furry Boots" and "Fit Like" Tour...

Post by allyrennie » Wed Feb 04, 2009 10:43 pm

Evening All,

Few pics from this week.

Firstly Scotty's Brother C4S.

Before:-

Image

The look on his face as I informed him is was having to wet sand his car was one of shock and a little bit of worry...Especially when he came out to see this ( This was after wet sanding the car with 2500 grade wet and dry ) :-

Image

Which once cut back and polished up correctly leaves this finish:-

Rear Wing Prior to correction, swirls and general scratches:-

And After more wet sanding ( Rear wing ):-

Then Completed:-

Then the completed car looking something like this:-

Then Monday night seen a move to Tut Towers, where I had nothing to do with the markerpengate scandal ( See other thread );-

So N1 TUT was due for some tlc on Tuesday:-

It should now be safely tucked up under its new cover.

A Quiet night in the towers on Tuesday, before a 2 hour drive to Aberdeen this morning ( 28 miles )............

Turn of the Frog today for some attention - Only a few pics as we couldn't take it outside as it was heavy snow, Phil assures me pics will be taken once the weather clears though:-

Sorry its picture heavy!!!

Cheers

It was hovering about zero all day and Ally worked without lunch !

Great job, shame about the fading light - will post some more photos when the weather's better :thumbsup

Very impressive Ally. I'm glad we've chosen only your basic valet service for next week, if you thought Scotty's bro was worried about sandpaper you should try telling Lisa you are taking it to her beloved Golf!!!

Would not do that to Sanjoy, I ripped him off once already in the last year :damnfunny

If I wasn't going racing I would be seriously thinking about it.

Great work!

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Sorry Shug and Kenny, I to regret the passing of N1, but unfortunately there were no half measures, it meant new bodywork all round, thus a full re-spray, and as I am planning on keeping her in the family, may as well do an Ally on her and finish off the job properly.

Now that the garage is finished we can keep Verians Audi TT (on SORN) N1 (on SORN) and N3 in there tucked up dry, safe and sound.

No point in selling the TT, we still owe £9K on it and judging by prices on that Tesco site it is worth about tuppence. There was a 2003 3.2 V6 TT on there for £6.5K, ours is a 2000 1.8 225 Roadster. Better off letting Clare have it when she can take on the tax and insurance herself.

Likewise for N1, when Ian is 21 he may be able to get insurance with out selling a kidney, and that would be quite something to look forward to for him.
