FOC Scuderia Ecosse Visit (some Lotus content!!)

Post by renmure » Sun Feb 22, 2009 6:53 pm

The Scottish section of the FOC arranged a trip to the Scuderia Ecosse HQ near Edinburgh. http://www.scuderiaecosse.com/

It was a really great day and the turn-up of cars in the Carpark had a big selection of 308/328/355/360/360CS/430/430Scud/550/612 and a few others... including one of them plastic wee cars that we all know and love so much :blackeye

Here are a few pics to give a flavour. There is also a large area set aside for a private collection of cars which were all out on show but pics were not allowed. Cars in the collection included almost two dozen Ferraris including a Daytona, 512BBi, F40 etc along with some other exotics like a Ford RS200, Jaguar XJ220, and a Lambo SV.

Best bit of the day was being in a 12 car convoy of Ferraris between the Dakota Hotel and the Scud Eccose HQ. Certainly looked 8)

This'll be Roden's place at Glendevon Winchburgh I take it?

Very unassuming from the road but clearly quite Tardis-like in reality!!!

Pass it often - we are barely 10 miles away and it's on my way to work - and can only imagine what's under the sheds.

You had a good day for it as well, Jim.

That's the man. He came across as a really enthusiastic and unassuming guy and the set-up appeared top notch and ultra high tech. From the street you would never know what was down there

Interesting to see what the inside of the race car looks like!

Think I'll leave mine as is.

Jim - what other stuff do the FOC do?
AMG GT-R
Atom 4 - CM425
Lotus Esprit S4S
G30 M5 Comp
Ferrari 599
Lotus Elise S1 "Shed" spec

Not really sure Andy since I am not a member and just tagged along in the car since a mate is a member. Think the Scottish side of things has been fairly slack but there is apparently a new Area Organiser who is keen to get things going but don't know what that might involve.
