Good to meet you too Adam... :thumbsup

Yep - Nice to get some feedback from someone who actually knows what they're doing!

As the day went on, I became more choosey over the shots to take...But still came home with around 60-70% unusable junk...

Ross,

These are a cracking start.

You probably have plenty advice already but in particular don't worry about taking home 60% "junk". These are actually the majority of the shots that teach you what to try differently next time etc, so review them with care and try to work out what went wrong, before you consign them to Recycle Bin. If not sure...post a few howlers up here and we'll crit them for you ;-)

Did you find they were errors in composition or more technical issues (out-of-focus, blurred from low shutter speed, etc..) ?

Cheers.

Sorry Kenny, if it had been a normal Trackday it would have stayed off with an umbrella in use in the pit lane, but when I did try that it blew of whilst I was having a bacon butty and nearly took a Formula Ford out.

A combination of things, really...

I kept mis-timing my panning...

I'd zoom in so much, that by the time I took the shot, the car would be bigger than the frame...

It was sunny (at points), and my position at McIntyres meant that there was quite a glare off the front of the car...

I was shivering with the cold, leading to lots of blurry shots...

And I was too early on the shutter - Example below...

Suppose practice makes perfect...Or at least a bit better... :)
