i have another interesting fact about that bridge....

...when a mad young bast**d (myself - :thumbsup ) with a madder old bast**d (tut - ) glued to back of him overtake a camper van (one of the thousand i had to pass this weekend!) whilst mid-bridge, the on coming traffic do not give you the sort of hand gesture that means they are pleased to see you are out for a run on a sunny day...!!!

amazing pictures tho - well done, especially the sunset. what a stunning country we haev when its not pis**ng it down of rain!!

Lovely Photos Campbell, especially Achmelvich.

I'll get my photos uploaded asap. The house/garage is like a bombsite and I am slowly getting it defused

At least the car is empty and the boat stored away.

Just goes to show you don't have to have anything special machinery wise to come and enjoy this kind of gig :-)

Some of my photos of the weekend... Im sure Gav (guidedog) will be along shortly with his more 'arty' shots as he seemed to be holding onto his camera more than the steering wheel!
Sorry for the photo overload...

Started by heading towards Loch lomond from Dezzy's gaff in glasgow
we ended up being caught in the traffic which should have been going over the rest and be thankfull... from the photo, any ideas what direction we were heading for?
Image

it then became aparent that the sunny weather would not last very long. shortly after this phot was taken it became very very wet and we all got soaked just before we went over the connell bridge.
Image
We stopped in benderloch for a quick lunch where Berty's OH Ali was beginning to think that this camping malarky was a mistake!

we arrived at the site and pitched out tents up in the rain - Point and Squirt kindly brought his Gazebo up as a PAX...
Image
Image

Tut began inspecting people tents...
Image

Nizzy arrived late and quickly assumed the Lotus position...
Image

Next morning after a cracking breakfast cooked by Gavin (thanks again for that), the others went to morrisons for their breakfast
the cars parked in the car park brought out the 'Locals'...
Image
...although Tut was entitled to priority car parking...
Image

Some were optimistic about the weather for the run up to Gairloch... :)
Image

We stopped for a well orchestrated photo shoot...
Image
Image

then we headed in the direction of Applecross in a run that turned out to be simply breathtaking...
Image
Image
Image
Image

The roadkill was interesting though...
Image

We stopped at the Applecross Inn (?) and all had a bite to eat which turned out to be gorgeous for most. Dezzy tried his first oyster... :puke
Image

Didnt take many photos of Gairloch which im a bit annoyed at.

Next morning we headed towards to Ullapool for a gorgeous breakfast and yet another photoshoot...
Image

next was to head for inverness...
Image

then just after the kessock bridge in inverness myself, dezzy, heather, Bertie and Ali split from the group to head down the road to the east of Loch Ness...

Image

we dropped in at the Morrisons again for a toilet and snack break where we met up with some other SE'rs whom you might recognise

I had fun anyway - but the jealousy that seeped out of every pore all weekend has at least ensure that any thoughts of selling the VX have now gone :thumbsup

Luckily a giant appeared and covered everyone with his umbrella

Another giant appeared and farted on my car.

GQ were not interested in this pic but I have had interest from Bella

We decided to leave the road kill where it was as no one considered themselves to be THAT hungry
Image

After a long wait I was allowed to be at the front for a couple of miles.

Ullapool before we were told to get off the jetty.

thanks to a passing Spannish photographer we all managed to get in one shot. (Ok he was Portroguise but im not sure of the spelling)

Pics look great, Gav and Ross I may wish to request a couple of them in high res :D it was a fantastic weekend and great to have some good pics to remember it by. Think there have to be some calander contenders in there.
