Some Photos of our trip to 050709

Post by Skyenet » Wed Jul 08, 2009 7:16 pm

After a long day packing we set off on our trip on tuesday evening

Image

We spent the evening on my friends boat at Cameron House Marina.

Image

Looks like it will be a sunny day

Image

The girls get ready for the journey ahead

Image

We stopped at Glencoe for a play in the river and to take some photos

Image

On Wednesday evening we join the yacht 'Hannahtinga". On a sail the following day we get our first site of Big Sands

Image

On Thursday Evening we arrive at Big Sands, our area is a bit empty lol!

Image

The girls soon discover the beach

and launch the dingy

Making some toast

and marshmallows, greedy me burnt my lip on the marshmallow. :-)

Image

At last we heard the sweet sounds of an Elise and were joined by our first neighbour Jason

Image

After a good feed we joined the Friday gang for banter. Here Jason explains the workings of a camera to an eager Shelley

Image

Then courtesy of Dave, Jason finally enjoys a cigar to celebrate the birth of his wee one.

Image

The next morning I manage to arrange some babysitting for Skye and Kaitlyn thanks to Nicky and Shelley so slope of to the USAF Liberator crash site. Here is a view of Big Sands from the Fairy Lochs.

Image

The rest of the day was spent playing with the dogs (Fraser and Henry) and get wet.

We all a good evening meeting up with old friends and making new ones

After a rather noisy night thanks to a bunch of local idiots it was time to pack up the Vauxhall Tardis !!!

Image

We had a good journey back down stopping at Glencoe again

and then home via Dukes Pass and Fintry :-)

What a great break away but wow it has taken ages to get everything unpacked, cleaned and sorted away !!

Splendid photo session of your trip Iain, you are getting to be a dab hand with the camera.

Cracking picture book Iain.

Just sorry I never got to chat with you, the one chance that arose was when my brother had just arrived totally unexpected (!) and after that the evening just disappeared.

Hopefully there shall be others though, and perhaps with my own team in tow as well :-)

Great pictures Ian.

You had me scratching my head at first when I walked past the inflatable dinghy, thinking "how on earth did someone fit that into an elise?"
