It's ceejam. Spoke to him about it afterward, reckon he spun at the chicane, the boot popped open and bend on the rollover bar. What we couldn't figure out is how it bent. He has the boot box version of the s1 rear clam, and we both thought the lid was fibreglass...

He was traveling backwards when it popped open. The wind hit it and bent it over the roll bar.
Cheers

Yup 'twas me!
I saw Paul G catching me up before the chicane, so thought I'd let him past after it, but got my line wrong, spun a full 360 on track, managed to keep it going, and carried on with a slightly bent engine cover!
Managed to bend it back to shape(ish) today, so it opens and closes.
Anyone got an Azure blue S1 engine cover going cheap?

David, nice video, that was my blue exige holding you up towards the end - sorry. I was a bit distracted by the open boot - excuse no.72 (when will I get to use that again).
I can't do knockhill in my sleep, so still have plenty to learn, your video did show that I was probably going to far right before the chicane. I've been given that comment before, but it didn't really make sense until I saw your video. Something to work on next time, instead of just getting used to the car again
Those shift lights certainly see plenty of action.

I would have been happy to follow for a bit - you were one of the faster cars out there

. The Caterham has a lot of drag when you pull out from the slip stream so I needed every last RPM to get past you up the hill and I suspect you lifted in the end

.
I've still got L plates on

so I wouldn't pay too much attention to my lines. As for the chicane, I was told to straighten it as much as you can - I just position for the line that is "a car's width" between the markers and go for it!

I have a spare Azure blue one from N1 Jamie, unfortunately exactly the same thing happened to it as yours and it wrapped itself around the roll bar, and had to be replaced.
