Great pics, and bikes did not come any better than the Vincent.

Not an expert, thought it might be a Black Shadow at first, but probably not.

Does not compute Mike. The Comet was a single cylinder, that is definitely a twin.

Its a Vincent White Shadow. The bike he has in his garage is a Velocette Venom and the blue bike in the pics is a Vincet Commet 500 Racing
Good site....

Ah so, mix up with pics.
Loved the Velocette Venom, was not into bikes in my younger days, cars from the start, but my mates had a Venom with that fishtale exhaust, and a Norton Dominator 99. Lovely looking classic bikes.
Both pics courtesy of Classic Bikes.

My first Irish Road Race, Kilinchey 150, on the Dundrod circuit circa '77...
Bike is a TZ 349 A..put it on a train from Johnstone to Stranraer and Bill Simpson gave me a lift across to Dundrod in his van.
Tom Herron won the main event..Joey won the 250 and 350 events.
Take care..
