Great pics, and bikes did not come any better than the Vincent.

Not an expert, thought it might be a Black Shadow at first, but probably not.

Its a Vincent Comet tut as the only bikes he raced was that plus the Norton.

Does not compute Mike. The Comet was a single cylinder, that is definitely a twin.

Its a Vincent White Shadow. The bike he has in his garage is a Velocette Venom and the blue bike in the pics is a Vincet Commet 500 Racing :thumbsup

Ah so, mix up with pics.

Loved the Velocette Venom, was not into bikes in my younger days, cars from the start, but my mates had a Venom with that fishtale exhaust, and a Norton Dominator 99. Lovely looking classic bikes.

My first Irish Road Race, Kilinchey 150, on the Dundrod circuit circa '77...

Bike is a TZ 349 A..put it on a train from Johnstone to Stranraer and Bill Simpson gave me a lift across to Dundrod in his van.

Tom Herron won the main event..Joey won the 250 and 350 events.

Take care..
