Post by mckeann » Sun Aug 08, 2010 10:29 pm

for some reason, FlickR have stopped me showing pictures directly in a web page, so i'm afraid your going to have to click a link and watch a quick slideshow on there website. Only 13 pics, wont take long :thumbsup

it was great fun. Managed to get down to 61 second laps on the bike, so starting to get respectable now. :D

What a great pic! Does the bump kick you up much? I've heard you need to cover the back brake when going over it?

ferg, on my bike, 636cc with 125bhp you can keep it pinned and no need for the rear brake, it just comes back down itself. Thats with my considerable weight on it anyway, might be different for a lighter rider. The 1000cc boys might have to cover the rear brake or ease off, i think it depends how much weight you can shift forward

As for how high, it comes up twice, one feels much bigger than the other. It feels MUCH higher than it looks.

Good pics, makes you look like your going fast!

So how does it compare to the old bike?

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

i really like it now, but i still fancy another street triple like before. Considering i did a 62.5 on my first trackday on my street triple 3 weeks after i passed my test, and i only just managed to go faster than that yesterday over a year later, on a bike that should be much faster, shows how much i liked the old bike.

Terrible track etiquate Ape! You've taken your mirrors off so you can't see all the faster bikes behind and move off line to let them pass on the straights :damnfunny

Great pics, looks a whole lot of fun, lots of knee down activity going on there, good on you! :thumbsup

Is it the handling or power delivery you found more difficult to adopt with the Kawasaki? What time do you think it should do at KH?

I really miss tracking bikes, wish I could do it again :(

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

i think its the riding position Mass. My triumph street triple was upright, with lots of leverage on the bars, whereas the kawasaki has all the weight on your wrists, and i feel less in control.

Also, I'm going to get the suspension changed to be more track orientated and also set it up for my weight, as its pretty soft, and was bottoming out on the forks when braking, and running wide when on the power. I've been told this will make a huge difference, it bloody better have for the money
